China Moon - Algoma

We drive from Casco to Algoma and it's definitely worth the drive. We've ordered from China Moon many times over the years and it's always been wonderful. They always provide good portions and always at very affordable prices. The employees have always been very nice.

Just off the beaten path is this restaurant we found on our way to Door County. Good food!

Awesome food and lots to choose from. Even burgers and fries. General Tso was fantastic! Different spiciness to choose from. Dragon and Phoenix was an awesome combo as well! Loved the egg rolls! Can't wait to try it all!

5 * might be a stretch in the big picture but I had the BEST Egg Foo Young I have ever eaten and I have at least 100 others to compare it to. It's old, dreary and take out only but the food sets it apart. Highly recommended

It may not look like much outside but the food is very good! General Tso chicken was made perfectly. Fried rice veggies had a slight char which added depth of flavor. And the crab rangoons were also excellent.

So this place doesn't look like much, but the food is very good. I have ordered here about once a month for years and never had a bad experience. The owners are nice and generous with the fortune cookies!

after a long day we got take out from china moon on 9/2. we were staying in algoma for a couple of nights. the exterior of the business was a bit run down—we almost thought it may be closed/out of business. when we went inside we could see that they no longer offer in house dinning, so we got take out (this was no issue). the service was fast about 15 minutes. we had *general tso chicken, *chicken fried rice with veg, *pork dumplings, *egg roll and *hot & sour soup. it was all very good. the general tso chicken was the perfect balance of flavor—i honestly don’t find that often with the dish. the brown sauce that is in the vegetable with chicken fried rice is so savory and delicious and with variety of vegetables. egg rolls were crispy, tasty, and perfect size. pork dumplings are very generous size and filling. my only dislike was the hot and sour soup as it just had too much chili flake in every bite. perhaps this was an error, as these things happen from time to time. i was so disappointed because it had that delicious classic h&s soup flavor otherwise and packed with mushroom, bamboo, tofu etc. everything was large enough portion that we had left over for lunch the next day. we will be sure to be back again next time around. thank you.

I drive from Sturgeon Bay to go to China Moon. After moving form a larger city and being used to numerous takeout places, I hoped I’d find one here and I did. Very good food, fast service, and always friendly. I’m glad I found this place. I usually get the shrimp with snow peas and spring rolls.
